As a first-time mum I was very nervous about my 2-year-old son joining a nursery. I looked for somewhere with a good settling in routine and caring professionals. Dovecote surpassed my expectations from day one as my son and I spent an hour getting to know the teacher and familiarizing with the classroom ahead of the start of term. The environment is spacious with two outdoor areas for toddlers, and large classrooms. The teachers are an absolute a delight to be around and interact with. The way the nursery operates and is organized is fantastic. Strong values of kindness and good manners are upheld. My son very much enjoys his days at nursery, he talks about it with me often, and he has made some good friends. I recommend Dovecote to other new families.
We are delighted with Dovecote Nursery. Nursery manager Mena has vast experience in achieving a home from home environment in which our little one quickly felt safe, happy and confident; and in which we as parents felt welcome, heard and considered. We are greeted with smiles and kindness, readily given time, updated frequently, feel involved, afforded flexibility, and our daughter is thriving. Our little girl is currently in Sunflowers Room under the wonderful care of her Teacher Miss Karen, and Teaching Assistants Miss Lalaine and Miss May. She accesses the British Early Years Curriculum and every day we can see the efforts and thought that go into preparing and considering all the resources, activities and interactions that support her development. It is a pleasure to see all the sensory ideas and visual displays around the whole nursery. Special days are highlights throughout the year such as festivals, sports and Mothers’ Day, filled with personal touches and hospitality, so as a family we have always felt very included and welcome. The level and quality of care – with attention to individual need – is very evident; staff from all rooms know every child so familiar and trusted face are everywhere, my daughter has been supported in learning routines and independence already, and much additional time and allowance has been given to her to settle in well after living at length in lockdown (Abu Dhabi covid restrictions). The nursery has great childcare provision – camps help with additional childcare needs at holiday times, and wrap around hours cater for longer working days. My daughter is happy and we are so pleased and grateful to be part of the Dovecote community. Thank you to you all!
Having moved from the UK to Dubai 8 years ago and a mother of 3, I am very familiar with the nurseries and schooling on offer here in Dubai. My youngest daughter started at Dovecote 2 years ago and I can say nothing but heartfelt praise and gratitude to the Dovecote staff for making my daughter so happy at nursery.
In my opinion the level of care and teaching is like nothing I have experienced before in Dubai. The teachers and teaching assistants are very talented, enthusiastic and clearly love what they do. They completely understand my daughter and I have been very impressed with the depth of knowledge they have of her progression, giving detailed feedback and daily updates which not only reassures me as a mother but allows us to work together to achieve the best for her.
Shhh don’t tell everyone – Dovecote is the best kept secret in Dubai 😉
Absolutely love this nursery, from the staff to facilities, so happy we changed nursery when i found out this was reopening in the same school as my son.
Everything is so well organised & always updated with information, Mena does an amazing job, love the fact there is always something going on for the children to be involved in, the children celebrate all kinds of holidays & special days. The resources they have in the classrooms & even in the corridors my children are so happy to stay & play they don’t want to leave, feel so comfortable leaving in their hands, as she always comes out smiling after a fulfilled day.
